8 October 2024

ETW London September 2024

ETW2024The Energy Trading Week 2024 in London was well attended this year. The two-day event gave industry experts from various disciplines like operations & technology, regulations & compliance, traders live, net zero, oil trading, LNG trading, and energy trading digitalization a platform to discuss current situations and challenges.

Cyriel de Jong was among the presenters and spoke in the energy optimization stream about ‘Powering profits: Unleashing the potential of battery storage – BESS optimization explained’. In his presentation, the following topics were discussed:

  • Exploring factors that contribute to the value of batteries within European markets
  • Moving beyond basic low, base, and high scenarios by utilizing Monte Carlo simulations
  • Evaluating the value of various trading strategies and ancillary services related to batteries
  • Comparing and analysing the historical performance of battery trading
