In our newsletter of April 2025, see what we have included on our European Power website, and read our latest Gas storage and swing report.
We are continually updating and improving on our European Power Analytics website. Recently we have added information on Green Hydrogen, Negative Prices and Interconnectors. Have a look: power.kyos.com.
From our latest Gas storage and swing report: At the beginning of the year, EU gas prices saw an increase due to cold weather and low renewable power production, which led to rapid withdrawals from gas inventories, now at 34% compared to 59% at the same time last year. This supply strain pushed the TTF front-month prices above EUR 55/MWh.
However, as speculation grew about the potential resumption of Russian gas flows, coupled with discussions around relaxing storage refill requirements and increased LNG imports, prices began to fall. The TTF Cal-26 contract decreased by 9%, and the NBP equivalent dropped by 22% over the past three months.
Cyriel de Jong spoke at the SolarPlaza summit that took place last week in Amsterdam. His presentation on Benchmarking in Battery Trading was well received by the audience. See his slidedeck.
Until next month!
