Job vacancy: Python Developers – Energy Software for Renewables & Batteries
Location: Haarlem (Near Amsterdam) – Hybrid Work Possible. You must be an EU-citizen or have a valid work permit for the Netherlands.
Type: Full-time
About Us
We are a dynamic and rapidly growing software company located in the heart of Haarlem, just outside Amsterdam. Our international team develops impactful tools for energy traders and project developers working with battery storage and renewable assets. We specialize in the electricity markets, enabling our users to make smarter, faster decisions to accelerate the energy transition.
We don’t trade ourselves; instead, we provide the intelligent software that empowers those who do.
The Role
We are seeking Python developers who are passionate about clean code, smart systems, and shaping the future of renewable energy and battery storage. You will join a collaborative and talented team working on tools used by clients active in real-world energy markets. Whether you are an experienced developer or just starting your professional journey, we value strong programming skills, curiosity, and a proactive mindset.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Python applications that support analysis, forecasting, and decision-making in energy markets
- Collaborate with a close-knit team to design features, improve performance, and deliver high-quality software
- Work with real-time and historical data from electricity markets
- Contribute to infrastructure improvements, testing, and clean, maintainable code
- Utilize AI tools (like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT) to enhance development workflows and boost productivity
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Python skills – you have written substantial, well-structured code (whether in industry, personal projects, or academia)
- Comfortable with data-heavy problems: experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Polars or similar
- It is a plus if you have experience with Postgresql, Dash, html and/or CSS
- A university degree (BSc or similar), in a scientific or technical subject (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics) is a plus. However we are looking for a mix of skills so quantitative development experience is not a must.
- An eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Experience with energy systems, trading, or renewables is a bonus, but not required
- We’re open to junior, mid-level and senior developers — it really depends on your experience and what you bring to the table
Why You’ll Like Working With Us
- A highly collaborative, international team working from a beautiful office in central Haarlem
- The opportunity to work on meaningful problems in the energy transition
- Opportunities to grow and shape your role – we hire for potential, not just experience
- Flexible work setup, including hybrid work options
- Competitive compensation
